Living in Peachtree Corners GA: A Walkable Town Green, a Real-Life Tech Lab and Gwinnett Prices

A walkable Town Green, a bridge to The Forum and a real-life tech lab. Here's what living in Peachtree Corners is like.

Picture a Friday evening at Peachtree Corners Town Center. You grab dinner from one of the restaurants around the Town Green, find a spot on the lawn near the stage, then walk across the pedestrian bridge over Peachtree Parkway to The Forum for a little shopping.

When people start looking here, two questions come up first: “Is this Gwinnett schools, and how long is the drive to Midtown?” The friend-to-friend answer: we’ll help you confirm both for the exact house, before you fall in love with it.

The short answer

Living in Peachtree Corners GA means a small Gwinnett County city with a walkable 20-acre Town Center and a real-world technology test bed called Curiosity Lab. Its median sale price was about $587,000 for the three months ending September 2026, per Redfin, and homes sold in about 44 days.

What is Peachtree Corners Town Center like?

Peachtree Corners Town Center is the city’s living room. The city describes it as a 20-acre district that opened in April 2019, built around a 2-acre Town Green with a stage, a veterans’ monument, an outdoor fitness park, a large TV screen and plenty of seating.

It also has more than 20 places to eat, according to the city. And here’s the clever part: the city built a pedestrian bridge over Peachtree Parkway, a road the city says carries 44,240 cars a day, linking Town Center to The Forum shopping center. Instead of dodging traffic, you walk right over it.

What is Curiosity Lab in Peachtree Corners?

Curiosity Lab is the city’s “living laboratory,” as Peachtree Corners puts it: a place where companies test new technology, like connected and self-driving vehicles, on real public streets.

Peachtree Corners Magazine reported in September 2026 that Curiosity Lab’s testing area includes a 5G-enabled, three-mile route for autonomous vehicles, and that its expanded Innovation Center, about 25,000 square feet, had a soft opening with offices, workshops, classrooms and event space for startups and research partners.

What does that mean for you as a homeowner? Mostly, it’s a sign of a city that’s thinking ahead about jobs and infrastructure. It also brings tech workers and companies to the area, which can support the restaurants and shops around Town Center.

What is it like living in Peachtree Corners?

Peachtree Corners is home to more than 42,000 people, according to the city, and more than 2,300 businesses. The housing mix runs from established single-family neighborhoods to townhomes and newer homes close to Town Center.

It’s a city where a lot of people both live and work. Technology Parkway and the office parks around it put jobs close to home for many residents.

Can you walk or bike around Peachtree Corners?

More and more, and this is the city’s hidden connector. When Peachtree Corners asked residents what they wanted most, the answer in its 2015 Livable Centers Initiative study was walking and biking trails, according to the city. So the city began building an 11.5-mile multi-use trail system that will crisscross the community, connecting neighborhoods with shops, restaurants and office parks.

A multi-use trail is a wide paved path shared by walkers, runners, strollers and bikes, kept separate from car traffic. Think of it as a sidewalk that grew up.

Here’s what’s happening close to Town Center:

  • The Town Center Trail is a segment of about 0.54 miles, listed as under construction on the city’s project page. It will connect Town Center to Peachtree Corners Circle and the businesses next door.
  • A Crooked Creek trail has been studied between Spalding Drive and Holcomb Bridge Road and Peachtree Parkway. The city’s concept study, finished in September 2020, proposed boardwalk sections along the creek. No construction date has been posted, so treat it as a plan for now.

What that means for you: as more segments connect, a home near a trail entrance could put Town Center, The Forum and the office parks within a walk or bike ride. When we tour, we’ll map where the finished and planned segments sit relative to each house, so you know what’s real today and what’s still on paper. That way, you’re never paying for a trail that isn’t there yet.

How much do homes cost in Peachtree Corners?

Here’s the snapshot for the three months ending September 2026, from Redfin:

Area Median sale price Median days on market
Peachtree Corners $587,000 44
Gwinnett County $409,000 58
City of Atlanta $425,000 63

What that means in real life:

  • You’re paying for the location. Peachtree Corners runs above the Gwinnett County median, reflecting its spot near the Fulton County line and its Town Center.
  • Homes move at a steady pace. About 44 days on market means good homes don’t sit forever, but you still have time to tour carefully.
  • The rest of Gwinnett can stretch your budget. If Peachtree Corners is a little high for you, nearby Gwinnett cities may offer similar commutes for less. Our Gwinnett and DeKalb guide for buyers walks through the options.

Is Peachtree Corners in Gwinnett County Public Schools?

Peachtree Corners is a city in Gwinnett County, and the school district is Gwinnett County Public Schools. School assignments are set for each address and can change, so the best answer comes straight from the district. We’ll point you to the district’s official school locator for any home you’re considering and help you confirm it before you write an offer.

How long is the drive from Peachtree Corners to Midtown?

It depends on the hour and the route, since most drivers use I-85 or Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The way forward: before you make an offer, drive it at the time you’d actually commute. It’s the most honest test there is, and we’re happy to plan your tour day around it.

What surprises people about Peachtree Corners?

People confuse it with Peachtree City. They’re completely different places. Peachtree City is south of Atlanta in Fayette County, while Peachtree Corners is northeast of the city in Gwinnett County. If a friend says “Peachtree,” it’s worth asking which one.

It’s a young city with a big population. Residents voted to incorporate on November 8, 2011, and city operations began on July 1, 2012, according to the city. With 43,059 residents at the time, it became Gwinnett County’s 16th city and its largest. The way forward: a mailing address and a city line don’t always match, so a “Peachtree Corners” address can sit outside the city, or the reverse. We’ll confirm which side of the line a house is on, since that decides things like city services and which local rules apply.

Who does Peachtree Corners fit best?

  • People who want a walkable town center in the suburbs. Town Center gives you a green, restaurants and a bridge to The Forum.
  • Tech and office workers in the area. Living near Technology Parkway and Curiosity Lab can mean a short commute.
  • People relocating to metro Atlanta. It’s a good first look if you want a suburban setting with a walkable center.

What this means for you

Peachtree Corners gives you a walkable Town Center, a bridge that turns a busy road into an easy stroll, and a city investing in technology and jobs. Homes here sell at a steady pace and run above the Gwinnett median, which reflects what people value about the location. As Curiosity Lab grows, the area could keep drawing employers close to home. And as the 11.5-mile trail system fills in, more of the city could become walkable, which is the kind of everyday upgrade that tends to matter to the next buyer, too. We’ll show you which streets already connect.
